Syllabus

The program is structured with 2 Terms of courses and 1 final Term for the thesis or project. The final project can be done in the form of an internship in a company or in a research lab (we will facilitate such opportunities). Every Term lasts for 13 weeks:

This module explores DS and AI principles, focusing on challenges in the digital economy, business algorithms, and ethical implications. DS involves data analysis with statistical techniques, and AI simulates human intelligence for autonomous decision-making. Topics cover DS and AI principles, challenges, algorithms, applications, big data technologies, and ethical implications in business.

Digital Business Strategy

In the dynamic digital landscape, formulating an impactful business strategy is imperative. Covering key areas like business strategy, digital disruption, innovation, and critical thinking, students gain autonomy to manage frameworks, advise on sustaining competitive advantage, collaborate on strategic planning, drive growth through innovation, and comprehend exponential organizations leveraging technology for rapid growth and market disruption.

Customer Value Management

In this course, students will integrate theoretical frameworks, case studies, and interactive discussions to acquire insights and strategies. They will learn to identify, create, and deliver effective value propositions, fostering customer satisfaction and organizational success. Topics covered include understanding customer value, digital marketing for long-term vs. short-term goals, customer lifetime value (CLV), digital customer relationship management (CRM), and digital marketing strategies with a focus on growth hacking.

Business Problem Solving

This course covers various problem-solving methods and tools to help students analyze and address complex business issues. Specific topics covered include techniques for decision-making and creative problem-solving. The course also explores different types of business problems, such as financial, operational, marketing, and strategic issues. Digital Project Management

Topics cover global business evaluation, principles of finance, financial planning in digital businesses, digital currencies, funding digital ventures, and the startup journey.

Maximizing Impact in the Digital Economy

Participants acquire insights and strategies to drive impactful digital initiatives, fostering growth, social advancement, and sustainability. The course covers essential topics, including the impact in the digital economy, scaling impact through algorithms, data science, artificial intelligence, and growth hacking. It also explores measuring economic and social impact, case studies on monopolies and tech giants, sustainable and ethical practices in digital business, and leadership and organizational culture for impact.

Digital Product Management

This course navigates the dynamic field of digital product management, focusing on the crucial role of a Digital Product Manager in driving innovation and ensuring product success. Tailored for aspiring Digital Product Managers or those enhancing digital product management skills, the program blends theoretical knowledge, practical case studies, and hands-on exercises. Participants gain insights and strategies for effective digital product management across the lifecycle, covering key areas like Digital Product Strategy, Idea Generation, Validation, User-Centric Design, Data-Driven Management, and Product Launch.

Digital Transformation Management

Third Term

Capstone Project and Dissertation

The MSc Thesis is a significant project aimed at consolidating skills acquired during the program through a term-long research project. Students, alongside an OPIT supervisor, develop and realize a project proposal in the final term, investigating methodological and practical aspects in program domains. Internships with industrial partners are encouraged. The thesis should demonstrate mastery of the field and familiarity with relevant literature.

Can I combine study with work?

Yes, we have considered various life circumstances when designing our online study programs. Therefore, you can set your own learning pace according to your needs. 

Bachelor’s degrees of 180 ECTS last 3 academic years, with the option to shorten the study period to 2 years with the fast-track option.

Master’s degrees  of 90 ECTS last 18 months, with the option to shorten the study period to 1 year with the fast-track option.

Master’s degrees  of 120 ECTS last 2 academic years, with the option to shorten the study period to 1.5 years with the fast-track option.

Are the OPIT online degrees recognized?

Yes.
