The MSc in Digital Business & Innovation empowers professionals to drive innovation in both established companies and digital-native contexts, by leveraging the power of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Designed for those looking to reskill or formalize their expertise, the program covers digital business foundations in Term 1, including topics like strategy, digital marketing, customer value management, applications of AI in business. In Term 2, the program delves into core topics such as digital entrepreneurship and business models, digital platforms and ecosystems, digital product management, growth hacking, and digital transformation, with an emphasis on applying AI to drive innovation. A practical capstone project of 30/60 ECTSs concludes the program.

Program
The program is structured with 2 Terms of courses and 1 final Term for the thesis or project. The final project can be done in the form of an internship in a company or in a research lab (we will facilitate such opportunities). Every Term lasts for 13 weeks:
- Fall term from mid-late September to mid December
- Spring term from late January to late April
- Final term (Capstone): mid-May to completion
First Term 
Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in the Digital Economy
This module explores DS and AI principles, focusing on challenges in the digital economy, business algorithms, and ethical implications. It aims to showcase tools driving innovation in today's interconnected world. DS involves data analysis with statistical techniques, and AI simulates human intelligence for autonomous decision-making. Topics cover DS and AI principles, challenges, algorithms, applications, big data technologies, and ethical implications in business.
Digital Business Strategy
In the dynamic digital landscape, formulating an impactful business strategy is imperative. Covering key areas like business strategy, digital disruption, innovation, and critical thinking, students gain autonomy to manage frameworks, advise on sustaining competitive advantage, collaborate on strategic planning and leverage AI for strategy design purposes. Finally, in this course, students comprehend the exponential organizations model which allows firms to address abundance by leveraging different accelerating technologies for rapid growth and market disruption.
Customer Value Management
Creating Customer Value is key for achieving market success. In this course, students will integrate theoretical frameworks, case studies, and interactive discussions to acquire insights and learn to apply different strategies. This includes the application of enabling technologies like Artificial Intelligence. Students will learn to identify, create, and deliver effective value propositions, fostering customer satisfaction and organizational success. Topics covered include understanding customer value, digital marketing for long-term vs. short-term goals, customer lifetime value (CLV), digital customer relationship management (CRM), and digital marketing strategies with a focus on growth hacking.
Business Problem Solving
This course covers various problem-solving methods and tools to help students analyze and address complex business issues.
Specific topics covered include techniques for decision-making and creative problem-solving. The course also explores different types of business problems, such as financial, operational, marketing, and strategic issues.
Students are introduced to case studies and simulations that require them to apply problem-solving skills to real-world business situations. The goal of the course is to equip students with the skills and strategies needed to identify, analyze, and solve problems in a business context.
Digital Project Management
This course blends conventional practices with innovative digital tools like Artificial Intelligence. Specifically designed for professionals aiming to excel in this field, the course incorporates practical case studies, hands-on exercises, and interactive sessions. Participants acquire the skills to successfully oversee, execute, and deliver digital projects adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Second Term
Entrepreneurship and Finance for the Digital Economy
In the dynamic digital economy, the synergy of entrepreneurship and finance is pivotal for driving innovation and sustainable progress. The course delves into the intricate interplay between entrepreneurial endeavors and financial foundations, providing not just theoretical knowledge but practical wisdom together with the application of specific tools. Topics cover global business evaluation, principles of finance, financial planning in digital businesses, the application of Artificial Intelligence for specific tasks, digital currencies, funding digital ventures, and the startup journey.
Maximizing Impact in the Digital Economy
Participants acquire insights and strategies to drive impactful digital initiatives, fostering growth, social advancement, and sustainability. The course covers essential topics, including the impact in the digital economy, scaling impact through algorithms, data science, artificial intelligence, and growth hacking. It also explores measuring economic and social impact, case studies on monopolies and tech giants, sustainable and ethical practices in digital business, and leadership and organizational culture for impact.
Digital Platforms and Ecosystems

This course navigates the dynamic field of digital product management, focusing on the crucial role of a Digital Product Manager in driving innovation and ensuring product success. Tailored for aspiring Digital Product Managers or those enhancing digital product management skills, the program blends theoretical knowledge, practical case studies, and hands-on exercises. Third Term
Capstone Project and Dissertation
The MSc Thesis is a significant project aimed at consolidating skills acquired during the program through a term-long research project. Students, alongside an OPIT supervisor, develop and realize a project proposal in the final term, investigating methodological and practical aspects in program domains. Internships with industrial partners are encouraged. The thesis should demonstrate mastery of the field and familiarity with relevant literature.
