    With an award in cloud computing, you acquire skills that are in demand by employers, such as the ability to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions. You also learn how to work with Microsoft Azure, the most prominent public cloud.     This Award only required a valid secondary education certificate of completion.  The program is structured so that students coming from a non-tech background will be introduced to foundational concepts and then dive into more advanced contepts.

    Syllabus

    In the Award in Cloud Computing programme, students will learn about all the main concepts related to Cloud Computing: the different cloud deployment models, such as public, private, and hybrid clouds, and the advantages and disadvantages of each. They will also learn about various cloud services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), and how to choose the right service for a particular use case.

     

    Other topics covered include cloud storage, cloud networking, cloud security best practices, and the different cloud platforms available, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The “public cloud of choice” will be Microsoft Azure. Students will also learn about cloud automation, cloud orchestration, and how to design and deploy cloud-native applications.
