Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity elective covers three main aspects: security, compliance, and identity fundamentals across cloud-based systems. It will use cloud services such as Microsoft Azure to ground the theoretical aspects into real-life applications, and students will explore security methodologies, concepts and compliance principles. They will then proceed to identify principles, concepts and types, and analyse the security aspects of various systems by looking into the security management capabilities of cloud platforms. Finally, students will examine information protection risks and data lifecycle management capabilities in cloud deployments. Through this module, students will gain a good knowledge of security, compliance and identity, and will be able to try out these concepts in real-life.
